[edit] Josuah vs Joshua

Some sources appear to have the artist's middle name spelled as "Josuah". [1] However, others[2] spell it "Joshua". The Art Renewal Center[3] spells it "Joshua", as does the Library of Congress Authority record[4] (search for the name; deep linking is not possible there). The 670 record which lists a middle name reads:

Thieme-Becker: |b v. 6, p. 374 (Chaplin, Charles (Charles Joshua); French painter, engraver, and lithographer; born of English parents in Les Andelys (Eure) 6/8/1825, d. Paris 1/30/1891)

If I can find a copy of that source, I'll add a reference for the middle name as a footnote. grendel|khan 20:54, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
