Talk:Charles Daniels (tenor)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm not connected with Charles' agent in any way. I am just a fan; I do run his fan club, which can be found here, but I have deliberately not included a link to it on the page to avoid any compromise of interest. I created this page because I feel that Charles has done at least as much to merit inclusion as other artists in the same genre who are included here, such as Michael Chance, whom I also much admire.

- From the article, he certainly has but Wikipedia policy requires independent verifiable sources. I tagged the page because it derives from conflict of interest sources. Much better to base it on independent material that has appeared in the national/specialist music press. --ROGER DAVIES TALK 09:50, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
Ah... I see the problem.
I will see what I can find. The difficulty is that Charles doesn't generally get asked to do interviews and so on, because although he does have a remarkable voice, I don't think he is considered very impressive as a person on the music scene. He doesn't have what might be called a commercial image. It's one of the things I really like about him, but sadly it doesn't get him interviews. Personally I think his agent ought to try the "green celebrity" angle and publish a few shots of him on his beloved bike, but I suspect they don't feel that goes with baroque...
I promise to work on it, though. Can the article stand in the meantime?

- It's only tagged for clean up etc, not deletion though I'd be quick about adding citations to independent sources if I were you. --ROGER DAVIES TALK 10:14, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

In terms of establishing notability, reviews can be helpful. Here are a couple suggestions...

Thank you. :-) I was having a lot of trouble finding reviews that weren't buried among reams of other text!
