[edit] Deletion discussion

I disagree with the deletion of this page, it gives more information about the characters of the game which is important to understand them more.It is also a good source of reminisce if you are not sure about something about some character. Also i don't think that this article is poorly made to deserve deletion, instead it gives the generic information needed for each character. Some further editing may prove to make this article better however I'm not willing to do that.If anyone else thinks that this article should not be deleted and think he/she can can edit to abide the wikepedia rules please do it. Neroz 17:48, 8 October 2007 (UTC) Neroz

I'm responsible for moving the character section to this new article. I strongly hope to preserve this article. I suggest removing the overt spoiler and leave only characters personality desription like Characters of Persona 2 without telling too much the story progress. I should make it fast so it would be reasonable to remove the deletion tag. -- Sameboat - 同舟 00:46, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
I'll pitch in. I definately don't want to see this page deleted. There is no room for all of this information in the actual article and I think the spoilers can be easily edited out. We don't have much time though, so we best get on it. Zemalia 22:51, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Characters of Kingdom Hearts is also another good reference to use for this article. For now, I'm just deleting the spoiler content. I stopped at Mitsuru for now, so if anyone opposes the article can be reverted back to its orignal form. If there's three of us who say 'no' to deletion, the template should probably be deleted... Also, we need to CITE. That would definately improve the article by a longshot. The artbook that came with the game has some really good information in it as well, so we should see if we can even cite things from that. Or the main website... I'll look into it. But for now, I'm going to focus on the first three characters that I edited out. Zemalia 23:06, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

I oppose, since I'm the one who wrote it all up. -.- It wasn't exactly easy, and definitely was time consuming, so I'd hate for it to all be wasted like this. Besides, Wikipedia's job is to be as informative as possible, and if there are spoilers abound, its not our job to remove them, but more like point them out for people to know ahead of time. I'm reverting anything that I saw deleted, and putting it back the way it was and probably add in a spoiler warning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.188.24.125 (talk) 01:10, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Well! Looks like hell around has ensued, and I don't even know whats what anymore. Important characters, for example like Shinjiro, are frickin outright missing! So, before something unpleasant ensues, I request that this page be put back to frickin normal by whoever butchered it. >.< —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.188.24.125 (talk) 01:17, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

The reason things were edited was because they didn't fit into the article correctly. After that, it was decided to keep the info, but within comment boxes that are only viewable to the editors until they could be properly worked into the article. No one in anyway is unappreciating your work, we're just trying to improve the article so that it makes Wikipedia standards. Please don't take any editing personally. ^.~ Zemalia 02:27, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm not really taking it iron-blood personally, its just it sort of feels that way. But, deleting outright isn't the best solution. If it seems like alot, we simply sum it down, without removing any of the information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.188.24.125 (talk) 11:52, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, the informtation is still there, its just in editing comment boxes. This means, the info can only be seen by the people editing the article. Zemalia 17:21, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Messiah of Judgement Arcana

It's a bit of a stretch to say that Messiah is one of the protagonist's primary Personas, don't you think? 148.85.225.208 17:38, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Hmm... good point. Since that persona is only available towards the end of the game I think I might have to agree. What I suggest is working Messiah into the paragraph about the Main Character. Actually, it would be a good idea to put some very basic information on the character's personae in their blurbs. Something else to work on... ^.~ Zemalia 20:44, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
I remember that Meeish is shown in the FES staff roll as Main's ultimate persona. The video should be still available in youtube. -- Sameboat - 同舟 00:52, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Actually, yeah, I just finished Persona again and it seems like Messiah is shown as the MC's Persona. We'll just leave it, then. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.85.193.62 (talk) 19:08, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
No, the Persona has nothing to do with the story, and gameplay-wise is not even the ultimate. Resentful Human 22:14, 4 November 2007 (UTC)::::
Not sure myself though but, if you observe closely the ending credits for the game, the characters shown as shadowy figures have their single Persona behind in the background. Messiah applies to this as the MC's Persona. Just like to point that out. I believe it is absolutely ok to place Messiah as his persona... since players as well as readers may have already be aware of the fact hthat he is able to switch them correspondingly in battle... - pmc (talk) 01:07, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Main Character's Name in the Manga

Okay, the edit war has been going on for a while now. Can somebody with the relevant knowledge confirm with the adequate argument and proof how his name should be by the order of given name-family name? Is it Minato Arisato or Arisato Minato? -- Scroogey McDucky 01:07, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Arisato=有里 is family name. -- Sameboat - 同舟 01:36, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Main Character's Final Skill

In the article for the main character, it says that the skill costing all of the main character's HP symbolizes sacrifice. Yes, this is Persona, but, when it comes down to it, that was just to make it so that you couldn't use it until the end. This is also why Nyx gets the first strike in that battle, so that you can't use it first turn if you have full health. Change or not? Resentful Human 22:19, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

I haven't played all the way through the game yet, so I wouldn't be the expert on this one. For now, I suggest its left as it is unless you would be wonderful enough to be able to cite? <3 Even quoting from a game is fine as long as you have all the info needed for the citation and the quotation is direct. Zemalia 22:24, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
You can't cite that it symbolizes anything, either. Resentful Human 01:00, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Aegis/Aigis

I noticed, users are refering to Aegis by her american name, Aigis, that is all well and good, but where do we draw the line on this? the Japanese version refers to her as Aegis, well the Episode as Episode Aegis, if Wikipedia is a reference article do we leave Aigis as is, and make people think that Episode Aigis is the Japanese term too?, or do we revert like i have done to Aegis, because there is no real hint or clue that the game will indeed come out in America to begin with, since Atlus USA denied that the game was coming

I realise it may cause confusion having 2 different spellings of the name but do we consider how it has been translated by Atlus USA (Aigis) or Atlus Japan (Aegis)?

I like to point out that in an FMV sequence (the one where Aegis battles Ryoji on the bridge) you see the battle in her computerized point of view and the word AEGIS is seen in one of the corners. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.226.56.162 (talk) 09:55, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mitsuru's Persona

Did Mitsuru's Persona naturally awaken, or was it artifically produced like Strega's? Someone keeps adding that her Persona was artifically created, but I recently completed the game and I don't remember anything like that being mentioned. Maybe it's mentioned in FES, but even so, a statement like that needs a reliable source before it can be added to the article. MayumiTsuji (talk) 04:16, 25 November 2007 (UTC)MayumiTsuji

I don't remember anything of the sort either. For now, until a reliable source can be obtained, it should stay out of the article. Zemalia (talk) 13:46, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm trying to remember, but I think it was mentioned in one of those dorm conversations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.108.25.191 (talk) 10:59, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

After the first meeting in the 4th regarding the truth about the Shadows and the Dark Hour, if you chat with Shuji Ikutsuki, he will tell about Mitsuru's past - and about her Persona, who was artifically created. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.103.119.155 (talk) 10:09, 30 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Social Links?

One thing of note to me is that, although never "major" characters in the overall storyline, there are a number of characters with noticable importance in the life of the main character and influencing your abilities in game - the Social Link characters (Like Kenji, "Maya", Bebe, Chihiro, and so on). Should these be added? --24.67.224.188 (talk) 23:51, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

I went ahead and started adding a few of those characters. Sorry that it looks messy now though.69.108.25.191 (talk) 05:08, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Limiting of content lines

I've just noticed, other Persona games and Digital Devil Saga to have their own contents to be limited to 2 lines. Why not in Persona 3 to show parallelism? I'm not saying it is biased or whatever, but it just seems so. :/ 210.213.157.67 (talk) 12:23, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
