Talk:Characters in Malcolm in the Middle

[edit] Schizophrenia?

I know it's a far stretch but in the episode 'Future Malcolm,' Dewey is doing things because of what the unborn baby tells him (e.g. driving the car, getting sand, making a melon sling shot of some type). There is then this conversation between Reese and Dewey when Dewey tells Reese of the baby's voice:

Reese: What are you doing?
Dewey: Can you hold these for a second? (holding elastic ropes stuck in a closet)
Reese: Sure. (takes them) What's this for anyway?
Dewey: You'll see. (opens door to hit Reese with melon)
Reese: Are you crazy?
Dewey: It wasn't my idea. The baby told me to.
Reese: Wait a minute. Mom's baby? You think Mom's baby talks to you?
Dewey: Yes! It's telling me to do all these crazy things.
Reese: Let me give you a little advice. You've got to ignore the voices. They're not on your side. And you never tell anyone about them. Especially your teachers; they get panicky for no reason. You understand?
Dewey: I think so.
Reese: Attaboy. You're going to be okay. (punches him)

So Reese hears voices, and so does Dewey (though later the voice is somehow right as it tells Dewey to tell Lois to turn around and they catch Hal filling her tea with maple syrup). I know we need evidence for Malcolm or Francis but this is at least evidence of /something/ going on that can be mentioned in the articles, right? It doesn't need to be of schizophrenia. Just that they hear voices? -Babylon pride (talk) 17:02, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Reese being referred to as private jetson

In the episode where Reese joins the army, he uses a fake I.D. so this would also explain why he was referred to as jetson. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.46.238.219 (talk) 13:46, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
