[edit] Alumni

I'm not sure if all those alumni are notable. Jue is, and Eric Post has come in 2nd and 3rd in the Marine Corps Marathon, thoug I don't know if that means he's notable. I can't find anything on Colin Vint besides that he's just a college soccer player. I can't find much on Kathy Leutner and Matt Pociask. I don't know if Leutner is actually a model, and if she's a notable one or just on some page somewhere in a catalog. Matt Pociask isn't in the imdb which i would expect if he was a notable actor.

Jenny Suh is an outstanding golfer, having wons the boy's VA title in high school, but she's not pro yet so I don't think she's really notable and I won't add her now.

I may cut some alumni and paste the text here in comments in case anyone wants to discuss them. Also, I'd like to hear if anyone knows of any CHS alumni that are notable for things other than athletics (besides Kathy & Matt). --Howdybob 09:05, 6 July 2006 (UTC)--Howdybob 09:00, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

Howdybob...here is a link for colin vint, he just signed last week which is why you probably haven't found anything other than college on him.Bray Wanderers news

I've tagged the article for notability. None of these people are actually notable. SniperWolf1564 11:00, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fine arts

Can you add on more for the Fine Arts? I can add information abuot them, just create the space for it and I can do it.

Just add ==Fine Arts== to make a section. Howdybob 13:24, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

Oh, okay, I'm actually have talked to the band director a little bit about doing a history of the fine arts department, btw great update!

Stick to what makes CHS notable to the world at large, such as whatever MAJOR awards they've won, and the Downbeat magazine thing. Try to find out about the big continental competions the orchestra won. The trophies were in the orchestra trailer when I was at CHS. Also, sign your comments. --Howdybob 12:12, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

Yeah I added fine arts to the section, I'm going to update this a little more. I don't want a school like westfield trying to take all the glorly! --Scott Trogam 13:12, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Well, do anything you want but don't try to make this page look like Westfields's. It's a messHowdybob 17:53, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
It shouldn't be a mess currently, I just saw how much was done on the westfield wikipedia, and laughed. Also, I'm glad nothing that would put Chantilly in negative lights have been added. Probally could expand to seperate the Band, Chior, Orchestra, and Drama departnments. I posted a link for chantilly band members to get here to look, hopefully we can expand those parts.

[edit] Learning Seminar

I'd like to see something mentioning the controvesy and overall unpopularity of the L

I don't know what that is exactly but I assume it's some new part of the daily schedule. Am I wrong? That sort of internal "controversy" about schedules isn't something that belongs on Wikipedia in my opinion. It's about the school's relevance to the world at large, not for things that are just concerns to students. It's not a bulletin board. --Howdybob 21:47, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

The Learning Seminar is a new scheduling system that was proposed by the school, where every other day, students go to two periods within one period, and it rotates through the schedule every time. I find it to be somewhat relevant since it was intended to be used at many schools in the state, and a majority of the student body and teachers find it to be useless. I don't expect a huge update just on the problems of it and students quotes and such, just a 3 or 4 sentence blurb mentioning what the Learning Seminar is and how it was unpopular

[edit] General comments

The alumni section is pretty big. I worry a little about whether we have sources for all of them , or if they are all notable.

That new infobox on the upper-right is a little big. I think the old one looked better.

The Art & Activities, and Awards sections are a little bloated. I don't think things like the name of the band leader are necessarily encyclopaedic. --Howdybob 00:04, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Demographics

Haha, I love whoever made the ninja edit to this section about Kacur. --Ernasty10050 10:39, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Image:Chantillyhs.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
