Talk:Channel Chasers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Actually, it's Space Spector. Spector means ghost.

No, specter means ghost. Spector, according to the sole definition in my dictionary, is the last name of Phil Spector, a record producer who pioneered the “wall of sound” style and produced several hits in the ’60s. —Frungi 03:49, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Inconsistency

"This film creates an inconsistancy with the earlier film Abra-Catastrophe! in which Timmy is commended for keeping his godparents for an entire year, but in Channel Chasers it is suggested that the average child keeps their godparents for quite a few years until they get bored with them."
This is not true. What Cosmo and Wanda are trying to say is that if you don't mess up you keep your godparent until you're around eighteen and don't need them. Timmy was congratulated for not messing up and admiting that he had fairy godparents, as the average child does.

[edit] "I am NOT Vicky's sister."

That was obviously trying to say it was Tootie without anybody watching thinking it was.

Comment Ok two-year-olds shouldn't be posting. -Roxy 1/13/07

[edit] Translation error

Maho Mushi means "Full Sail Insect". If it was "Magical Insect", it'd be Mahou Mushi.

How do you know it’s not “Mahou”? The creators of the show probably aren’t fluent in Japanese. And besides, “Magical Insect” makes sense; “Full Sail Insect” does not. —Frungi 03:39, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rock, Paper, Scissors

Doesn't anyone else think the one robot slapping on the other looked like Goku's Rock Paper Scissors move?

[edit] Half of those spoofs don't even have names!

[edit] FOP may have already jumped the shark.

The article says that future Timmy's spouse is never shown, and that it was done in order to avoid jumping the shark. In my opinion, that may have happened already when the show contiuned production after "Abra-Catastrophe"

I think It was Tootie! ANY girl could wear a scrunchie!X-D

Oh, and one more thing, the article states that Wanda tells Timmy that growing up means losing your faith in magic. I believe that it doesn't matter how old you are. You don't "have" to lose your faith in magic; you can still believe in it.

Actually, the writers decided to design his kids in a way so we wouldn't know who Timmy endded up with. Tammy looks like Tootie while Tommy looks like Trixie. The writers did it purposely that way.Wild ste 22:43, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

I think everything is correct, only because statistics already prove it: Ideally, Timmy first married Tootie, had a child, then divorced and then married Trixie or the other way around. It's possible that Timmy's future first wife (one of the girls) came home early and in the end, none of the bunch believed in abortion. I haven't seen the episode segment with the future setting, but I guess that Timmy might also be a single parent for whatever reasons (death of spouse, divorced, never married, etc). -Mardus 16:12, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Anime version Wanda and Vicky

Does anyone think anime-version Wanda and Vicky looked cool? I think they're awesome!

OMG Yes!!! And anime Cosmo was adorable :). (Cosmo is my favorite Charector)

[edit] Maho Mushi

For trivia folks, we should note "Mahou Mushi" would translate to "Magical Bug". 169.237.214.146 18:27, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia

"Deep Toot" is an obvious reference to Deep Throat in the Metal Gear Solid series.
Has anyone else noticed how horribly wrong this is? Deep Toot is a parody of Deep Throat as in William Felt from the Watergate scandal. I'd change it, but I'm not sure how to word it.--Wdinc01 17:25, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 2004

The movie came out 2004, not 2003! --SpongeSebastian 03:51, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Parodies

OK, what idiot stated that the robots in Mohou Mushi (or whatever spelling) are based on Transformers? I know I'm being harsh, but someone is just getting that from the upcoming movie. It is obviously Gundam and other Mecha shows. I'm changing it. --24.224.25.26 21:20, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
