[edit] Clarification needed
Sections of this article probably need to be clarified to make it clear that Channel 31 is not a national broadcaster, and neither are Channel 31 programs shared between Channel 31 stations in different areas. The use of the phrase 'Channel 31 station' is probably preferable to 'Channel 31' when talking about, for example, people who got their start in community television. It's more accurate to say, for example: "Rove McManus got his start on Melbourne's Channel 31" than to say "Rove McManus got his start on Channel 31". The latter risks the reader confusing different Channel 31 stations, perhaps leading them to believe that the program Rove started on was broadcast on all Channel 31 stations, or that he got his start on a Channel 31 station other than Melbourne's Channel 31. The same probably goes for every article that refers to Channel 31. They could all do with some clarification on this point. --Dalziel 86 00:57, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
- The cause of this confusion is the organization of Channel 31 itself (that is to say, themselves). I'll try a bit of a cleanup. - Richardcavell 23:21, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Antenna Awards
This section should be moved to the Australian community TV station page. No harm of course in at least mentioning that they are hosted by Channel 31. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.253.58.250 (talk) 06:58, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
