[edit] Recent expansion

An anon writing from various ip#s in the 192.58.221. range made a major rewrite of the page which included many additions and new information, but had problems with readability and formatting. This needs some serious work to incorporate into the article. I'm somewhat daunted about knowing where to start. Thoughts? -- Infrogmation 14:45, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, some good & useful info added, but rather untidy- I think it's a good call to retain it for now, and try to clean it up gradually when any of us have some spare time. I have access to one or two of the references supplied, if I get around to it I'll see about rearranging.
The mini-listing of office titles may not be specifically relevant here, perhaps they could be incorporated into the general text in some fashion.--cjllw ʘ TALK 03:07, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Am not very familiar with your working system, eg. don't know how to cut and paste or I would have improved flow of text myself. Thank you for your comments, James B Porter Ph.D. mayaglyphs@email.com

[edit] orthography

this article is still using the old, non-standard orthography rather than the revised and standard "Diccionario Maya Cordemex" one. please correct this! example: "nohoch" is no longer spelled like that, the "nojoch" spelling (with a "j") has been taught since about 1986. thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.148.9.67 (talk) 09:05, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
