[edit] Merger of Guam Time Zone & Chamorro Standard Time articles
As noted in Talk:Chamorro Standard Time, these two articles need to be merged; U.S. law and regulations now call this the "Chamorro Time Zone". However, there are some tricky issues here:
- Nearly all the relevant content is in the Guam Time Zone article; the only things in the Chamorro Standard Time article that aren't duplicative of either the Guam Time Zone or UTC+10 articles is the name and abbreviation (ChST).
- All of the talk (except the WikiProject Micronesia tag on both talk pages), and most of the external links, are in the Chamorro Standard Time article.
- In accordance with how Wikipedia handles U.S. standard time and time zones, the proper name of the combined article should be "Chamorro Time Zone", with "Chamorro Standard Time" as a redirect. (Obviously, "Guam Time Zone" should also be a redirect.)
Therefore, once I get the proper references to the United States Code and Code of Federal Regulations sections together, I will:
- Move the Guam Time Zone article (this one) to "Chamorro Time Zone"; that will automatically create the needed redirect.
- Edit it to correct the name and abbreviation, add the references, and remove the "merge" tag.
- Change the other article to a redirect to this one. (The talk will be left there, accessible via the link above; I'll also add a note there.)
- Cleanup the resulting double-redirect from "Chamorro Standard Time (USA)", the original name of the other article.
- Create the proper links from UTC+10 to the renamed article.
