Talk:Challenge
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As the vfd has been there for a month and no-one had voted one way or another on the comments page (not even the person who put it up for deltion) I removed it in order to put up information about the TV channel. Of the links to this page about half are for the TV channel so I feel it is probably justified. As for the alternate meaning, if noone improves upon it, I may well delete it in a later edit MrWeeble 22:06, 30 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Can someone please explain the 'alternate meaning' section and what relevance it has to the Challenge TV channel? I can't see any particular place for it in this article, especially without an explanation of the concept of a 'challenge'. PJBeef 01:03, 28 December 2004 (UTC)

[edit] The sense of 'challenge' as an euphamism of 'problem'
After prodding google on the subject of "challence euphemism problem" I've come across a few apropos pages:
Tools for Flexible Entry ID Management(first sentance under 'The Challenge')
This Issue:In Praise of Problem Solving(paragraph 3)
[edit] Clean-up
I've had a go at cleaning up this article, and will do more later. We need to sort the formatting out: once I've figured out whether TV programmes or channels should be in italics I will crack on with that. --Neil W 02:08, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Challenge logo.png
Image:Challenge logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:16, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Out of date information
The current programme list is rather out of date. There ae a lot of shows that are listed as being shown that are no longer being shown. The liss need to be adjusted so that it is up to date. I've just added an update tag.
