[edit] Chalicotherium

Why does "Chalicotherium" redirect here? "Chalicotherium" and "chalicothere" are different! Chalicothere is a group of animals that Chalicotherium belongs to, while Chalicotherium is a kind of animal! Dora Nichov 04:08, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Size issues

I have removed the following text from the page:

"The chalicotheres height when resting was 2.6 meters (eight and half feet) for males and 1.8 meters (almost six feet) for females."

The reason I removed it was because this seems to be talking about Chalicotherium in particular (Ancylotherium was only 2 meters in height, and I suspect Moropus differed as well). Putting this information on the page for chalicotheres in general is like saying that all tyrannosaurs were forty feet long. If someone actually makes a page specifically for Chalicotherium, then this could be incorporated there. 71.217.98.158 01:30, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
