I had a quick cleanup and removed the no-sources tag, as it seems well referenced in the external links now camelworks 17:33, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hex

Er, most of the text in the core of this article seems to have been quoted word-for-word from the intro video for the Hex ride at Alton Towers. I know this because I was actually there today. Perhaps someone could maybe alter this, perhaps elaborating on the actual legend itself? --Squirminator2k 21:01, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] ...

Orbs are imperfections caused by digital cameras, and nothing more, so why is one mentioned. Also is it possible for a clearer picture of the chained branches to be added?

Hey there - just my 2p but not used to wikipedia so feel free to ignore - I am a local and have lived in Alton all my life, the legend as I have always known it, is in fact the one that Alton Towers used for Hex, and I have never heard of the entertainer mentioned in the text. The path the oak is on used to be the old salt route running from the Towers out to Cheshire and I was brought up with the legend that the Earl was passing and refused to give alms to a beggar woman who cursed him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.141.204.160 (talk) 12:36, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
