Chavriata (Greek: Χαβριάτα sometimes corrupted to Havriata in English) is a small, hill-top village located 8 km outside of the town of Lixouri west-southwest in the Paliki municipality on the Greek Ionian island of Kefalonia. It is known as the "Balcony of the Ionian" owing to the commanding views it offers of both land and sea. Chavriata are linked with roads to nearby Chavgata and the western part of the peninsula and Lixouri as well as the rest of the peninsula and the island. Its nearest beach is in Xi and a lighthouse is located southwest of the village which is near Cape Gerogopotamos.

It was severely destroyed during the Kefalonian earthquake of 1953. The village was shortly built in the late-1950s. Electricity, running water and telephone lines became linked in the 1960s. Chavriata became linked with a paved road in the 1980s.
The majority of the population are farmers, producing olives and vegetables in the fields surrounding the village. The flat lands along with hills covers the area acound Chavriata while the mountains dominate the northern part
The village has experienced emigration, particularly to Canada and the United States.
The renowned 18th century Greek philosopher Vikentios Damodos (1700-1752) was born in the village and ran a school there.

Chavriata has an impressive 19th century church, The Assumption of Mary into Heaven (Greek Orthodox), and a square (plateia). The village's primary school closed in the late 1980s and children now attend school in Lixouri.
