Chaumuhan is a town and a nagar panchayat in Mathura district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Chaumuhan had a population of 9881. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Chaumuhan has an average literacy rate of 60%, a little more than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 59% and female literacy of 50% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Chaumuhan is divided in following blocks known as thok (Mohalla)
- Mani: Mani is the largest block of Chaumuhan highlight with strong faimily as Randheria, Birbal, Kulangare, Sinsowale, Yadav.
- Thamu: Thamu is second largest block of Chaumuhan highlight strong faimily as Danka

Chaumuhan have lack of industrial development but It is becoming a higher education hub, Because numbers of private institutes are opening here.

Chaumuhan is a town located on the NH2 90km distance from Delhi Badarpur Border. Chaumuhan has average 20 km distance from district Mathura, 20 km from its neighbor city Koshi and 10 km from Tahashil Chhata. The population of Chaumuhan is average 10,000 with ratio of 950/1000 M/F. Literacy in Chaumuhan is better than National educational ratio it's nearby to 95% for men and 70% for women. It is going to become hub in case of educational institutes these day.
History of Chaumuhan
Chaumuhan has its own ancient history. Chaumuhan mean (Four mouth) related to Hindu God "BRAHMA". There are only two Brahma temple in the worlds one is Pushkar (Rajasthan) and second one is in Chaumuhan(Utter Pradesh).
Economy Importance of Chaumuhan:
Chaumuhan has all important resource but unfortunately there is not any small large industry while Chaumuhan has very strong and all required transport facility, as one side of this is NH2 and second side it is covered with railway track. and good light facility.
