Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan

Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan (1958-) a senior Federal Minister in the current Pakistani Government, is a member of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and was elected as MNA for his fifth term as a PML(N) candidate in the recent General Elections of 2008 from the constituencies of NA-52 (Rawalpindi-III) and NA-53 (Rawalpindi-IV).[1] Currently he holds the charge of Ministry of Communication and Minitry of Food and Livestock as additional charge.[2] He took oath for his office on 24 March 2008.[3] He has previously served as Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, and Provincial Coordinator during 1990 - 1993 government of PML(N). From 1997 - 1999 government of PML(N), he was again Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister.He resigned as Federal Minister on May 13, 2008 along with 12 other Federal Ministers from his party. He has served as Member National Assembly for the terms of 1985, 1988, 1990, 1993, 1997 and 2002. Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is married and has three daughters and one son.[4]
