Chattanooga and Durham Railroad
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Chattanooga and Durham Railroad was formed in 1894 from the failed Chickamauga and Durham Railroad. The latter had built a railroad between Chickamauga, Georgia, and Durham, Georgia to haul coal from Lookout Mountain, Georgia. The line was sold again in 1900 to the Chattanooga, Rome and Southern Railway which lasted a year before being bought by the Central of Georgia Railroad.
