Chattahoochee High School is a public secondary school within the Fulton County School System and has been recognized as one of America's blue ribbon schools. The school is located next to one of its feeder schools, Taylor Road Middle School.

Chattahoochee's "Educational Partner" C2 Educational Center and students also have the option of joint enrolling at nearby colleges. The school also offers 22 AP classes. Chattahoochee's debate program has recently become nationally renowned. Under the direction of James Herndon III, the debate team placed second in the nation in 2005 reaching the final round of the Tournament of Champions. Extracurricular academic activities also include Mock Trial, Math Team, Academic Team, Science Olympiad, and Odyssey of the Mind.

The athletic offerings include typical American sports like football, baseball, track, wrestling, cross country, basketball and cheerleading. Sports Championships:
- Men's tennis team won the 2004 AAAAA Georgia state championship.[citation needed]
- Baseball team won the 2005 AAAAA Georgia state championship (with 32 wins and 4 losses), finishing 23rd nationally in Baseball America's Top 50 high schools.[citation needed]
- The football team has won the region championship 6-times: 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2003.
- The men's lacrosse team finished 2nd in the state in 2003 posting an undefeated record. The school had it's first All-American in Midfielder Kevin Magyar (CHS 2003). Magyar followed his career at CHS by being a star on the University of Georgia lacrosse team (2005-2008).

Chattahoochee has an orchestra program conducted by Jim Palmer as well as jazz and marching bands, conducted by Fred Chang and Nick Garofalo. The chorus program is headed by Rhonda Fossum.
