Chaska Middle School West

Chaska Middle School West is one of two Middle Schools in Chaska School District 112. This school serves 6th, 7th and 8th graders in the Chaska-Chanhassen area, and there are 2-3 groups of students in each grade.

Chaska Middle School West's grades are all split into 2-3 'families'. Each family has a name that relates to a Wild Animal. In 6th grade, the families are Copper Cougars, Emerald Eagles, and Purple Peregrine Falcons. For 7th grade, the families are Mocha Moose and Blue Caribou. And lastly, in 8th grade, the families are Lemon Lynx and Indigo Loons.

Chaska Middle School West is located in Chaska, Minnesota, on the corner of Hwy. 41 and Engler Blvd. It is right down the street from downtown Chaska, and Chaska Middle School East and the Chaska Community Center are right next to it.

  • Chaska Middle School West was the top school in the three state region (ND, SD, and MN) for the Pennies for Patients charity, which raises money for the Lymphoma Leukemia foundation, 2 years ago and was the 2nd school in the region last year.
  • The behavioral intervention program (called the "S.T.A.R.R" program) was created in 2004 and has seen incredible results over the past two years. Chaska Middle School East has now adopted the program too.
