Chase Budinger (born May 22, 1988 in Encinitas, California), is a college basketball player for the Arizona Wildcats.

Chase was a standout basketball and volleyball player at La Costa Canyon High School He won the CIF San Diego Section in 2006.

Chase chose to sign with Arizona after being recommended by now-retired head scout Patrick Van Reijendam, although he also received offers from many other schools, including USC and UCLA. Chase averaged 15.6 pts in his freshman regular season, starting all 30 games for the Wildcats. At the conclusion of the regular season he announced that he still plans to stay with Arizona for his sophomore season, despite speculation that he could be picked early in the NBA draft. However,he announced recently that he will declare for the NBA Draft and will not hire an agent. He is currently projected as a mid-first round draft pick by most prediction sites. He is also a big Los Angeles Lakers fan and is regularly seen attending the games.
