Charter High School of the Arts Multimedia and Performing (usually noted as CHAMPS) is a public high school that operates on the campus of Luberthian Korean Church. It is located at 6952 Van Nuys Boulevard, in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California. Though it shares the facilities of the Korean Church, the two schools' activities are different. It is operated as a Charter High School.
CHAMPS has been a high school campus since September 2005. The school consists of 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. Once the semester of September 2008 starts, there will be a 12th grade.
The school specializes in dance, music, drama, vocal, art, computer, and visual arts. It is the only Arts high school that allows students to study there from any district within the Los Angeles County.
Students who want to enroll in a specific academy (dance, music, drama) need to audition to get in. Each art department has a separate audition process and students can only audition for one department. Enrolled students can change into a different department with the approval of the department chairs and counselors.
Due to the school only running for two years, there are no alumni. The first class to graduate will be the class of 2009.
