Chartbusting 80s

Chartbusting 80s is an 80s music-variety television show on Community television station Channel 31 Melbourne, Australia. It is the highest-rated program on the station. The show is hosted by Josie Parrelli, who is known for her extreme dress sense. Music journalist Jeff (BR) Jenkins also features on the show.
Chartbusting 80s features music clips from various artists from the 80s, live studio performances from local Melbourne bands, both cover and original bands, trivia segments, and interviews with the stars of yesteryear, both Australian and international.

Production of Chartbusting 80s started in May 2000, debuting on Melbourne screens Wednesday November 1st 2000 at 7pm.
Chartbusting 80s has been on Channel 31 Melbourne, Australia for the past seven years. In its short history, Chartbusting 80s has attracted a cult following with average audiences of more than 100,000 per episode. After 4 years of pre-recorded episodes, Chartbusting 80s went live on March 4th 2004.
Due to its ratings success, the show has attracted much media attention, and Channel 31 airs Chartbusting 80s twice a week in Melbourne even during its repeat season. Due to this success 2006 has seen Chartbusting 80s go nationally with Channel 31 Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Mountt Gambier broadcasting the show. Chartbusting 80s has been picked up by Triangle TV in New Zealand and started broadcasting in September 2006. 2006 also saw Chartbusting 80s become an independent production being produced under Josie's production company Lady Scorpio Productions.

Chartbusting 80s, together with Shock Records, released a Double DVD on June 6th 2005 - Debuting @ #28 on the National ARIA Charts (Highest position to date #15-sales toppling close to the 6,000 mark after the original manufacturing figure of 4,000): featuring 40 clips from the 80s, and interviews with 80s artists such as Brian Mannix (Uncanny X-Men), Ross Wilson (Mondo Rock) & Martha Davis (The Motels).
A second DVD, Chartbusting 80s DVD II was released on June 3rd 2006, featuring 28 clips with show highlights and interviews, featuring artists such as Queen, Nik Kershaw, Mel & Kim with a rare interview from "Bop Girl" Pat Wilson.
Chartbusting 80s DVD III was released in November 2006, featuring artists such as Cliff Richard, Samantha Fox & Lionel Richie with highlights from Chartbusting 80s' 2006 season.
Chartbusting 80s DVD IV was released in May 2007 debuting #33 on the ARIA Charts, including artists such as Nik Kershaw, XTC, Yello, Survivor and Chartbusting 80s highlights from 2006/2007 Season.
Chartbusting 80s DVD V-By Request is released in October 2007, this DVD has been compiled with the assistance of the Chartbusting 80s fans.

- 2004-2006 Josie represented Chartbusting 80s as media personnel.
- Numerous feature articles in Melbourne Newspapers/Magazines such as The Age & Herald Sun, Beat Magazine and Inpress Magazine
- June 2007 Josie Parrelli was presented with an ARIA GOLD Disc for sales of Chartbusting 80s DVD 1, the disc was presented by Ross Wilson (Mondo Rock)
