Charna Halpern

Charna Halpern is a Chicago-area theater owner best known for being a co-founder of ImprovOlympic. Along with partner Del Close she has taught improv to many students in the Chicago theatre community, and has served as coach for a number of ImprovOlympic teams. She and Close co-authored the book Truth in Comedy:The Manual of Improvisation with editor Kim "Howard" Johnson. She is also the author of Art by Committee.
