[edit] History
Charlotte was introduced as the show's new doctor, and quickly became friendly with many residents of Erinsborough. It was soon revealed, however, that she was, in fact, not a real doctor, but that she was an accomplice to Terrence (played by Scott Johnson), a spiritualist, and had been passing on information of the Bishop family hospital records to him, allowing him to fake speaking to their relatives. Her patients included Janae Hoyland (Eliza Taylor-Cotter), Carmella Cammeniti (Natalie Blair), Harold Bishop (Ian Smith), Charlie Hoyland (Aaron Aulsebrook-Walker), Allan Steiger (Joe Clements) and Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis).
It was later revealed that Charlotte knew Frazer Yeats (Ben Lawson) from before he came to Ramsay Street. She attempted to seduce him, but he rejected her, telling her that he was committed to his girlfriend, Rosetta (Natalie Saleeba).
When Terrence was knocked unconscious by Sky Mangel (Stephanie McIntosh), who had discovered that he was not really a spiritualist, Charlotte found him on the floor of the General Store and "finished the job" after he woke and taunted her. Sky was charged with the crime and jailed, and only remembered that she hit Terrence just once while in prison; therefore, she could not have murdered him. However, the evidence was still against her.
Other characters began to grow suspicious of Charlotte and her poor medical education. When she confided to Boyd (Kyal Marsh), the medical student with whom she was having an affair, that she was not a real doctor, the two ran away together.
Despite this, Boyd only ran away with her to discreetly obtain evidence of Charlotte's crimes so that he could turn her in and set Sky free. After a dramatic car chase, which resulted in a car crash that sent Boyd to hospital, Charlotte lied to the police by saying that Boyd kidnapped her and forced her to work with him and Terrence to con the residents of Erinsborough. While being questioned by the police, Boyd mentioned that his MP3 player held a voice recording of Charlotte admitting to her crimes, but he dropped it in the hurry to evade the police. When the police were unable to find it, Stephanie Hoyland (Carla Bonner) and Toadfish Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) stepped in to find it, and succeeded, the police also found the sugar dispenser she used to kill Terrence. With the new-found evidence, Sky was freed and Charlotte was sent to prison in her place.
