Charlie Van Dyke
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Charlie Van Dyke (nee Charles Leo Steinle, b. 1947) is a former radio disc jockey who is better known for the voice work he has done for numerous radio and television stations. [1][2] His deep, booming voice has been described by some as "God-like". A photo of Charlie can be seen at a website for the history of WLS, a radio station in Chicago. [3] A native of Dallas, Texas, he was already one of America's most respected radio personalities at KLIF-AM in Dallas when he was only 19 years old.
Throughout most of the 1980s, he was a frequent guest host on American Top 40. He sub-hosted on 31 shows in all.
Mr. Van Dyke continues to work as a voice talent, but is no longer a disc jockey.
