Charlie Manning

Charles Nelson Manning was born on March 31, 1979 in Winter Haven, Florida and is currently a relief pitcher for the Washington Nationals. He went to Tampa University. He is 6'2 and weighs 180 pounds. Manning throws and bats left-handed. Manning was selected ninth round by the New York Yankees of the 2001 First-Year Player Draft. He then pitched in the minors for the Cincinnati Reds. The Yankees re-acquired him on June 18, 2004 for Gabe White. Manning was a 2006 Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star. He started the 2007 season off with Triple-A Scranton.
