Charlie George Hawkins (born February 14, 1991 in Camden, London, England) is an English child actor. He was raised in Islington where he has lived since birth. He was named after Charlie George, the famous Arsenal footballer.[citation needed]

His most notable role is Darren Miller in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, which he has starred in since 2004, although he has had other roles in films, dramas, documentaries and advertisements. His most notable other role was his debut as a cub scout named Tyrone in Ali G In Da House.

EastEnders casting director Katrine Collins had worked with him before deciding to cast him as Darren Miller in 2004.

Hawkins attends Holloway Secondary School in Islington, London, and previously attended another secondary school in Islington called Central Foundation Boys School. Hawkins aspires to carry on acting and maybe even directing and would one day like to be James Bond. His inspiration since joining EastEnders was his former co-star Nigel Harman, who played Dennis Rickman.

He uses his middle initial in his acting name as there have been other actors with the same name.
