Charleston Area Alliance

The Charleston Area Alliance is a private, non-profit community and economic development organization headquartered in Charleston West Virginia. The Alliance offers a range of services to companies considering Charleston for expansion or new operations. Extensive information is available on the area’s economy, workforce, training and education resources, financing, taxes, sites, facilities and member services. Their services are free and confidential.
The Charleston Alliance was formed by a merger of three organizations to give the Charleston MSA a consolidated and central organization for economic and community development. The three organizations that merged were Charleston Renaissance, BIDCO (Business and Industrial Development Corporation), and the Charleston Chamber of Commerce.
The Charleston Area Alliance is led by a volunteer board of community leaders. Its Chair is Jack Rossi, a CPA, and Managing Partner with Arnett and Foster. Its President and CEO is Matthew Ballard.
