Charles Wilmot, 1st Viscount Wilmot

Charles Wilmot, 1st Viscount Wilmot of Athlone (c. 1570 – 1644) was the son of Edward Wilmot of Culham and Elizabeth Stafford. Charles was created Viscount Athlone on 4 June 1621. He was married twice first about 1605 to Sarah Anderson daughter of Sir Henry Anderson, Sheriff of London. His second marriage was to Mary Colley on or before 28 April 1630 she was the daughter of Sir Henry Colley of Castle Carbery. There were no children born from the marriage.

- Henry Wilmot, 1st Earl of Rochester (1613 – 1658) married on 28 August 1633 to Frances Morton daughter of Sir George Morton of Milborne St. Andrews.
