Charles Weiss

Charles Weiss (goes by Chuck and more recently Chas), is an American software designer and one of the first employees of Oracle Corporation, having joined in 1982 when there were only 25 employees. He was issued a trademark for the Oracle Easy SQL product, one of the first SQL Query Editing tools ever created, and one of Oracle's first tools. He is also credited with the invention of the DUAL table in Oracle.

Chuck is mentioned in various books on Oracle and Larry Ellison due to his close relationship with Larry when growing up together in Chicago. Chuck relocated with Larry from Chicago to California during the summer following college.

Chuck attended the prestigious University of Chicago Laboratory Schools and received a BS from Cornell University, class of 1966, and a MS from Stanford University.

He was raised in Chicago, United States.
