Charles James Simmons (9 April 1893 – 11 August 1975) was a British lecturer, journalist and politician. He served as Labour Party Member of Parliament for Birmingham Erdington from 1929 but lost his seat there in 1931. He was elected once again for Birmingham West in the 1945 general election. He was a member of the Labour Government 1945-1951 as a Lord of the Treasury from 30 March 1946 to 1 February 1949, after which he served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Pensions. Simmons rounded off his Parliamentary career representing Brierley Hill from the 1950 general election until he retired at the 1959 general election.
