Charles Raymon Savage (April 12, 1906 - January 14, 1976) was a U.S. Representative from Washington.
Born on a farm at La Farge, Wisconsin, Savage attended the public schools. Took special courses in mechanics, building construction, business law, and salesmanship. He moved to Washington State and engaged in the building construction and logging businesses. He served as member of the State house of representatives from 1939 to 1945 from 1951 to 1959 from 1963 to 1967, and 1969-1976. He served as delegate to State Democratic conventions twelve times from 1938 to 1970. He served as delegate, Democratic National Convention, 1944.
Savage was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-ninth Congress (January 3, 1945-January 3, 1947). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1946 to the Eightieth Congress and also unsuccessful in a special election in June 1947 to the Eightieth Congress, and for election in 1948 to the Eighty-first Congress. He was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination in 1958 to the Eighty-sixth Congress. He continued his logging pursuits. He served as district manager of an insurance society. He engaged in real estate business. Resided in Shelton, Washington, where he died January 14, 1976. He was interred in Shelton Memorial Park.
