Charles P. Ries

Charles P. Ries is the current United States Minister for Economic Affairs and Coordinator for Economic Transition in Iraq, serving at American Embassy Baghdad. [1] Before this he was the American ambassador to the nation of Greece. [2]
He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from the Johns Hopkins University and is married to Marcie Berman Ries, the former U.S. Ambassador to Albania and now serving in Iraq as Counselor for Political-Military Affairs.
