[edit] Student Traditions

[edit] 10'er Initiation Week

The first week of the school year in September in which the Grade 12 students "initiate" the Grade 10's. It was at least in the past a sanctioned event with activities and school fund raising in mind. The most notorious thing about initiation week was when a Grade 10 student or "10'er" was "caught" in the hallways by Grade 12s not wearing clothing fitting the daily theme as set out by student organisers. The Grade 12 was to "mark" the 10'er anywhere on their face or hands with a bingo dauber for their lack of participation and school spirit. This of course got out of hand, and in reality it became more like caning in that any and all 10'ers were excessively 'daubed' on sight; resulting in the banning of the activity in the 1993-1994 school year.

[edit] Dam Road Parties

Students of the school have been known to hold large parties during the early to mid 1990s and possibly beyond, on Old Dam Road in Waverley on Friday nights much to the dismay of staff and parents.

[edit] Grad graffiti on Highway 101 overpass at Rocky Lake Road

Traditionally after graduation in June, a Highway 101 overpass over Rocky Lake Rd in Bedford is vandalised by grad students using spray paint to write "CPA GRADS" and the graduation year. Variations have included simply spraying "CPA GRADS" and the year just below the guardrail; and the more elaborate painting of each digit of the graduation year on 4 supporting posts of the overpass. The graffiti becomes more elaborate as each year progresses.

[edit] The Cheetah Spot

The Cheetah Spot is a school store located on the third floor of the building. It sells cool school swag and other items. It is decorated full of Blue and White.
