Charles Moorman

Charles W. (Wick) Moorman (born 1953 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi) is the Chairman, President, and CEO of Norfolk Southern;[1] he succeeded David R. Goode on February 1, 2006. The action was taken by Norfolk Southern’s board of directors. Moorman, who served as president since 2004 and chief executive officer since 2005, has continued in those positions.[citation needed]

Moorman has served in a number of leadership positions, including senior vice president corporate planning and services, president of Thoroughbred Technology and Telecommunications, vice president information technology, and vice president personnel and labor relations.

Moorman is a 1975 graduate of Georgia Tech[2] and Harvard Business School, he joined Norfolk Southern in 1970 as a Co-Op while still attending Georgia Tech [3]
