Charles Edward Missant (Born April 23, 1981 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan) is an American Football Center and Longsnapper who is currently a free agent.
Professional Experience:
2006-07 New York Jets practice squad member. 2007 starter and captain for the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe. Led the league in Offense by 600+ yards at seasons end. Finished the season 7-4 after losing to Hamburg 37-28 in World Bowl XV. Handled the longsnapping duties on Punts, PATS, and Field Goals. 2006 starter and captain for the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe. Finished the season 8-3 and Won the 2006 World Bowl Championship beating Amsterdam 22-7. Member of an Offensive unit that set the All-time NFL Europe rushing record (1753 yards in 11 games). Handled the longsnapping duties on Punts, PATS, and Field Goals.
Collegiate Experience:'
Played in 38 consecutive games for the Western Michigan Broncos. Started all 12 games as a senior, leading team in plays played. Started at Center, longsnapper and on the wedge (KOR) senior year giving up only 2 sacks on Offense. Part of a unit that finished 6th in the nation in passing offense. Three year starter at Longsnapper collecting 33 tackles in three seasons. Awarded “Hard-Hat” award senior year symbolizing hard work and perseverance. Elected Team Captain. Graduated with a degree in Organizational Communications and minor in Business Management from WMU in August, 2004.
