Charles Devenish (Charlie) Lawson (born September 17, 1959 in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland) is a television actor.

Lawson was educated at Campbell College in Belfast, where he developed a love of acting. He then went to Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Lawson is probably most well known for the role of Jim McDonald (who was from Belfast) in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street which he played from 1989 to 2000 and then for brief stints in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Most recently he again reprised the role in late 2007-early 2008 when Jim was released from jail.

In addition to his Coronation Street role, Charles Lawson has also appeared in the 1988 television film The Firm and in many other television series, such as Doctors, Bread, The Bill and Rosemary and Thyme.

Charles Lawson was banned from driving for two years at Kirkcudbright's Sheriff Court after admitting drink-driving on January 28, 2007 with a breath alcohol figure of 113 microgrammes.
