Charles Hodges (born June 29, 1947 in Memphis, TN) is an organist. He is known for his unique high tone on the Hammond B3 organ that graced records by Al Green, and other artists signed to Hi Records.
He has also played on albums by artists as diverse as James Carr, Willie Cobb, Albert Collins, and Boz Scaggs.
Hi acts Syl Johnson, O.V. Wright, as well as Green and even Welsh Soul man Tom Jones have recorded songs written by Charles Hodges.
