Charles Herbert Flowers High School opened its doors in 2000. On the first day, Charles Herbert Flowers appeared to celebrate its opening. [1]
[edit] School uniforms
Charles Herbert Flowers requires school uniforms. The school requires gray slacks, white polo or oxford shirts, black belts, and black shoes. The school requires students to wear identification badges around their necks at all times. A sweater or vest must be a hunter green color. [2]

Charles Herbert Flowers High School (often abbrieviated to CHFHS) is part of the Science and Technology program. This program also includes Eleanor Roosevelt High School and Oxon Hill High School. Many students just refer to CHFHS as "Flowers".
