Charles Foran

Charles Foran (born August 2, 1960) is a Canadian novelist and non-fiction writer.
Born in Toronto, Ontario and educated at Brebeuf College School, the University of Toronto and University College, Dublin, he has published seven books. His second book of non-fiction, "The Last House of Ulster," was short-listed for the Governor-General's Award, and his second novel, "Butterfly Lovers," won the QSPELL Award for fiction-writing in Quebec. Foran has also published journalism in Time, GQ, The Walrus, The National Post and Toronto Life, and has written radio documentaries for CBC Radio One's Ideas.
In 2006 Foran was named as the official biographer of Mordecai Richler. He lives in Peterborough, Ontario.
