Charles Dunstone (born 21 November 1964) is the CEO and (with David Ross[1]) co-founder, in 1989, of mobile phone retailer The Carphone Warehouse.
He was born in Saffron Walden, Essex, and educated at Uppingham School. In the Sunday Times Rich List 2006 he was listed in 64th place, with an estimated fortune of £830 million.

Known simply as "The Phone House" outside of the UK and EIRE, CPW was founded by Dunstone and David Ross in 1989. With only £6,000 savings, the two embarked on their mission selling car phones out of their flat in London. Less than 20 years later in October 2007 the company joined the FTSE 100 Index of leading shares.

He abandoned his business degree at Liverpool University after taking a gap-year with Torch Computers in Cambridge and then with NEC.[8]
