Charles Barton (25 May 1902, San Francisco - 5 December 1981, Burbank, California) was a film and vaudeville actor and film director. He won an Oscar for best assistant director in 1933. His first film as a director was the Zane Grey feature Wagon Wheels (1934).

Barton worked in various Hollywood B-movie units. From 1946 on, he was a principal director of the Abbott and Costello comedies, such as The Time of Your Life (1946) and Africa Screams (1949). He later directed Walt Disney films such as The Shaggy Dog (1959) and Toby Tyler (1960).

He was married to actress/singer Julie Gibson.
