Charles Arthur (born February 5, 1808 in Plymouth, England) was an Australian cricket player, who played for the Tasmania. Although he only represented the state in one match, he has the distinction of having participated in the first ever first class cricket match in Australia. Charles Arthur died on July 29, 1884, in Longford, Tasmania at the age of 76.
