[edit] Life Before Season 1

Chardonnay was a rich and successful model with her entire career ahead of her, until she met her husband to be Kyle Pascoe.

[edit] Season 1-2

We quickly see that although Chardonnay is not the most academically smart woman, she is a self-made person that wouldn't ever stand in her soccer star husband's shadow. We see the marriage of Chardonnay and Kyle early in Season 1, however she immediately faced the problem of not meeting the standards of her husband's mother Jackie Pascoe. However, Chardonnay disregards her mother in-law and continues to live her life the way she sees fit to. Although her modelling career was over since she gave up her career for love, she quickly bounced back and became a TV presenter and a mother to her and her husband's adopted child Paddy. However, this child which was given to Chardonnay by Kyle's mother, has an identifiable biological father, Jason Turner. He immediately tries to cause problems for them and eventually at the end of Season 2 Chardonnay murders Jason by breaking a wine-bottle over his fingers, causing him to fall to his death as he is hanging from the side of guttering of a large building. Unable to comprehend what she has done, Chardonnay realises that she was drunk and didn't know what she was doing at the time of the murder and spirals into depression and anorexia.

[edit] Season 3

At the opening of the third Season we see a coffin with the word Chardonnay on it, indicating that she lost her battle with anorexia after 6 months. Tanya speaks at her funeral saying that Chardonnay was an angel and Kyle stands there grieving his wife. Kyle later tells Jackie that Chardonnay had killed Jason.

[edit] In popular culture

There is little evidence of Chardonnay being used as a first name before Footballers' Wives, but in 2002 there were 52 British babies named Chardonnay and another 14 named Chardonay;[1] in 2003 there were 91 Chardonnays born in the UK.[2]
