Charbatia Air Base

Located about 20 km from Cuttack, Orissa, Charbatia Air Base serves as the most important aerial reconnaissance post of the Aviation Research Centre (ARC) in Eastern India.

This aviation unit was built with the assistance of CIA in the early 60s for aerial surveillance and intelligence gathering on China's strategic forces.
