Charar i Sharief is a town and a notified area committee in Badgam district in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, India.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Charari Sharief had a population of 7378. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Charari Sharief has an average literacy rate of 48%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 56% and female literacy of 39%. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
