[edit] Plot summary

M'Quve is dead, and Amuro sees who else is around. The atmosphere in Texas has been greatly disturbed after the explosion, creating a dust storm. On the top of the cliff Lala thanks Char for protecting her. Char tells her she's no ordinary soldier. Char says he'll teach the Gundam a lesson. Lalah tells him to be careful but he asks her not to worry.

On White Base, Bright is worried about Amuro's exhaustion. Nearby Fraw also worries about Amuro. On the Chibe, one of the officers wants to attack, but his captain says they have to wait for reinforcements. Back on Texas, Lalah is driving back to the Zanzibar and Amuro spots her.

Char moves his red Gelgoog behind Amuro, but Amuro senses his attack. He chases Char and makes him hide in the mountainous forest. Char moves to high ground and takes sniper shot at the Gundam. Amuro knows Char's moves already, and proceeds to fly over him slicing the Gelgoog's beam rifle out of its hand. Char retaliates with his double-ended beam saber forcing Amuro to roll the Gundam around on the ground avoiding Char's stabs. Amuro manages to evade the Gelgoo's attacks and slices the Gelgoog's side. Char immediately escapes and sets off a divertive bomb once far enough to avoid being chased by the Gundam. Char steps out of the manhandled Gelgoog and believes the explosion couldn't fool Amuro since he believes he's a Newtype. Char leaves his Gelgoog and heads for the Zanzibar.

On the shoal zone, Admiral Watkins detects the reinforcements for the Chibe and attacks it. The Chibe's captain orders his ships to get out of hiding to attack. Bright orders battle stations and sends out Sayla on the G-Fighter. Sayla destroys the Chibe while Watkins destroys the reinforcements. The Magellan and the White Base fly back to Texas. Watkins tells bright he will stay on the perimeter in case there are more Zeon ships around. White Base enters Texas. Bright asks Mirai to pinpoint the location of the explosion. Mirai detects the location and the ship heads for that direction.

After landing, Bright orders Sayla and Job to search for Amuro in Jeeps. After running into a herd of bulls Job reports he has yet to find Amuro. Bright notices Fraw is distraught and orders her to visit Hayato while he takes over radio communications. Sayla reports she too can't find Amuro when she's suddenly attacked by Char, who jumps in the jeep with a gun drawn. Char reminds Sayla she should have listened to him when he told her to quit the Federation back in Jaburo. She asks him why he's still with Zeon. Bright listens to the conversation over the radio and wonders who Sayla is talking to. Sayla says she doesn't approve what he is doing by joining Zeon in order to avenge their father's death. Char tells her that years ago, Jimba Ral told him the truth about what really happened to their father. A flashback shows Zeon Deikun on his deathbed asking Degwin to take over for him. In truth Degwin was responsible for Zeon's assassination. Char joined the Zeon military and rise through the ranks to get as close as possible to the Zabi family. He reiterates to Sayla to leave White Base because she's not a warrior. He says he'll giver her gold bullion so she can escape back to Earth and live a nice life there. Before he leaves, Char asks Sayla to see her face one last time, and tells her sister she's beautiful.

After he leaves, she spots Amuro attempting to repair the Gundam. Bright orders the Gunperry to pick the Gundam but cancels that order when he's told that the Zanzibar is leaving Texas. White Base flies over to Amuro's location and once the Gundam is retrieved they head back to space.

Watkins, who has waited outside Texas' entrance, attacks the Zanzibar and asks Bright for help. Once the White Base gets there, the Zanzibar has already destroyed the Magellan. Kai picks up a briefcase floating in space. Bright salutes the destroyed ship one last time. In his quarters, Bright asks Sayla who sent her the briefcase. She tells him that the briefcase contains gold bullion and that the letter is Char's. As she reads the letter in her quarters she begins to cry.
