Chapman River (Western Australia)

Chapman River is a river in the Mid West region of Western Australia.
The river rises northeast of Nabawa in the Shire of Chapman Valley, flowing generally southwest for about 105 kilometres (65 mi) to the Indian Ocean at the Geraldton suburb of Bluff Point ( ). It was discovered and named by George Grey in 1839, and may have been named after Mr John Chapman MP, deputy chairman of the Western Australian Land Company at the time.
