Chapman's is the largest independent ice cream and ice water products manufacturer in Canada [1]. It was founded by Bruce Roberts and son Kevin Roberts. The company started out as a small creamery with four employees and two trucks[2] and has grown into a multi million dollar business since then. It is currently located in Westbay, Ontario. They are mainly known based on their range of ice creams for people with special dietary needs. They produce products under their own brand name, and also produce store brand products (such as President's Choice)[3]. They now distribute their products across Canada.[4] The company has a plant and an 140 000 sq. ft. distibution centre in Markdale, Ontario, and another distibution centre in New Brunswick to serve the Atlantic provinces.

The company was the first dairy products company in Ontario to have it's own wastewater treatment plant, and they have been recognized by their industry and by the Province of Ontario for their ecological leadership. [5]
