Channel Oldham is a television channel broadcast on the UK digital service.
The channel is funded by the UK government and primary focus for the channel is for the large South Asian communities of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, in Greater Manchester, England.
The channel features many regular formats such as news, sports and community events.
Special news features included Asian news focussing on events in the Middle East. The news features key benefits are that it is broadcast in Arabic for greater understanding and connection with the Asian communities in the borough.
The channel was founded to raise greater awareness for the Asian communities and to give them a greater voice through the television channel "Channel Oldham".[citation needed]
The channel is broadcast daily from 5pm to 9pm.
