Channel Islands High School (CIHS), is a secondary school located in Oxnard, California. It is known as the "Home of the Raiders". The school colors are powder blue and gold. CIHS is under the jurisdiction of the Oxnard Union High School District. It had a student population of 2,608 during the 2006-2007 school year. There is a new principal for the 2007-2008 school year. It is on a normal calendar year (September to June).

In 1988, Channel Islands High School made history as the first high school to enter a drill team featuring men into competition at the famous Miss Drill Team USA competition in Santa Monica California. The team qualified to compete in the Novelty division and took 2nd overall in the category. Setting the stage for other schools to begin incorporating males into their drill teams and eventually the evolution to 'All Male' teams.
Channel Islands High School has many Squads such as: Short Flags, All Male, All Female, Banners, Islander Drill, Drumline, Coed Dance, JV & Varsity Cheer. These squads all compete in various places in southern California to get recognized and win many competitions such as USA Nationals, Miss Dance/Drill, West Covina Winter Celebration, etc. Channel Islands' very own Short Flags has won many Nationals Titles and was the very first school to 3-Peat @ USA Nationals (01-03). Coed, All Male, & Islander Drill have also taken home nationals titles from USA Nationals & Miss Dance/Drill Team U.S.A. All Male 2005 were undefeated champions (13-0).Drumline also received the Golden drumhead at DAC competition in 04-05.
The All Female Dance team has also recently won the Miss Dance Drill Team USA competition; consequently winning the highest awarded points in the medium division.
